Scholarship Application

Live auditions will be conducted before a selection panel composed of music educators and music professionals.

Vocalist should be prepared to perform two contrasting styles of music (no rap, hip-hop or show tunes) and should be accompanied by a CD with music only or an accompanist, no full bands. No pre-recorded voice including background vocals is allowed on CD. The performance should last not more than 10 minutes.

Musicians should prepare two pieces demonstrating quality and technique. Instruments can include piano, woodwind, strings, brass, or jazz guitar (no electric or percussions at this time). We reserve the right to offer these at a later time. The performance should last not more than 10 minutes.

Scholarship Award

The amount of the award will range from $500 to $1,000.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship award recipients will be based on the quality of performance and the selection of music that shows the recipient to be an exceptional music student who exudes talent and promise.

Use of Award

Scholarship awards will be paid directly to the educational institution attended by recipient for tuition, music materials, or applied lessons. No funds will be given directly to the recipients.

Scholarships are not available to directors, officers, or committee member's families or friends.
