MASTERCLASSES Workshops WORKSHOPS / combined with masterclasses offer group and individualized instruction for aspiring students from vocal coaching, songwriting, instrument showcasing, lectures, demonstrations, and more, which allows students an opportunity to participate in group session, geared to encourage and strengthen the cognitive skills and team building skills.
Valley Arts & Entertainment is seeking music instructors who have professional backgrounds to help us kick off our Piano Lab for the youth in the Butler Terrace residences. The Jazz program was found in 2014. Alabama Women in Jazz is committed to supporting and encouraging young women who have a vision to perform, teach, compose or produce in the music arts.

Janae’ McDowell is the Interim Director of the Alabama A&M University TRiO Upward Bound Program and an adjunct English Instructor in the AAMU Department of English and Foreign Languages. Janae is also a music lover and in her spare time contributes to her love of music with her Podcast Jazz Pieces. Janae’ is a music producer & voice over talent, proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Brandee Younger (born in Hempstead, NY) is an American harpist. Younger infuses classical, jazz, soul and funk influences to the harp tradition - proteges Alice Coltrane.
